Snippets

List all USB Drives

When dealing with USB drives to test i.e. downloadable images or simple copy some files you sometimes want to know which USB devices are available. Use Patrick Grünauers Info in his blog to get a quick insight on your USB hardware.

AI powered E-Mail search

E-Mails, we love and hate them. Loveable is the archive option, when something in the past comes up and we want to look for a certain conversation about it. If you want to powerup your E-mail search with AI, read the blogpost from Michael Pietroforte. It also shows the nature of MCP Servers which are more than an interface between AI and an external source.

New in Github Copilot for VS-Code: Command allow/deny lists and more.

Developing PowerShell with Copilot gets better and better, especially with the new Claude model it really makes sense. Read this blogpost by Michael Pieroforte regarding allow/deny commands, edit and resubmitting and MCP server changes. This will help to better understand the VS-Code integration extention.

RAM freeup

There can never be enough RAM in a computer. If you find yourself in a situation where RAM gets filled up and you want to clean it up, read the blog post by Markus Elsberger with hints from sysinternals, PowerShell and wmic.

Have some good weeks !
