Snippets

Upfront, sorry for the long wait it was holiday time, so i did collect a couple of infos and packed them int this post.

SID-500 Posts

Patrick did a few posts the last 4 weeks, one was „Powershell7 in Task Scheduler„, and „Using WinGet with PowerShell to install Software remotely„. A smaller post, but also useful is „Decrypt a secure string„. Thanks Patrick, cool writeups !

PowerShell Engineering Team Posts

Summertime seems to be quite effective for the PowerShell Engineering Team. They posted An update to „Get-WhatsNew„, a CmdLet which shows News in Powershell. Install Microsoft.PowerShell.Whatsnew first to use it. Also, the „Archive Module“ is going to be rewritten. Read the blog for more details.

PowerShell Community Posts

Maybe something you should also watch constantly is the PowerShell Community. Currently there is a post „Flavours of WMI management„, „Password Expiry notification for Teams and Graph API„, and a „Console Cheat Sheet„.

Global Community Blog Posts

EvoTec posted „PowerShell and VirusTotal“ and explain on how to use VirusTotal with PowerShell. They also posted „Reporting group membership for critical Active Directory groups“ and „Finding duplicate DNS records by IP Address using PowerShell„, all very useful.

Now fall is coming and we are going to post in shorter intervals.

Cheers / Roman
