The looooooooong awaited binary PowerShellGet 3.0 has a finally a release-roadmap (thanks Almighty Bob !). It gets a new name (see headline) and will be shipped with PowerShell 7.5. All the details of this announcement can be found here.

The article above is newer than the link to this one, still the information what changed INSIDE PowerShellGet 3.0 is still valid and makes sense in this context. Preview 21 has a couple of bugfixes, so please test test test, so that we will get rid of the old script-based Powershellget 2.2.5.

Completion Predictor 0.1.1 and PSReadLine 2.3.1-beta 1 Release

I guess PSReadline was just the beginning of a journey to make the commandline think of what may happen next. The PowerShell Team works on an predictor which will work with aliases (cd, dir), PowerShell CmdLets and git commands. Together with PSReadline 2.3.1-beta its really worth a try and test!

PowerShell VS-Code extension May 2023 Update

With VS-Code, being the only serios alternative after ISE, we are interested in updates on the PowerShell Addin. There is a lot of debugging fixes and some convinence features included, read details here.
